I am planning on keeping my boat at one of the marinas after Labor Day for a couple months. I am thinking of Mutton Creek as I haven't fished to the north of there. For fall fishing would I be better off keeping it at State Park or Orleans Trial. Would either of these be closer to better fall fishing. Both of these being up by the main lake and I am thinking the wind could be a bigger problem. Appreciate any input on this so I can get a slip lined up for then. Thanks

Grew up in Faribault and moved to Owatonna after I got out of the Marines to work. Retired in 2000 and moved down here to Joplin. Where you at now anywhere around Joplin?

mneyeguy this is a whole new game for me also being from mn myself. Been out a couple times this year at night fishing with lights. Buddies I go with are from around here so they had been doing this for some time. We sure haven't set the world on fire and like Crappie Cather said it has been tough. What part of MN are you from?

Sounds like a good day on the water. What were you using crank baits or live bait?
