There is also no length limit on Twain which plays into the lack of quality fish. I've seen people with a limit of 7-9" fish and feel like they've hit the lottery. Of course there's the folks who live close and can fish regularly and have figured out how and where to catch the above average fish. That's true on any lake though.

My personal opinion about LOZ is the consistency of the water level makes it a great fishery. Fry are very seldom left high and dry due to lake level fluctuations. LOZ being owned by the power company, houses right on the waterline vs corps of engineers lakes with only floating docks and no structures close to the waterline. A dry spring on Table Rock with no rain will leave fry high and dry.

Well, if I didn't know better I'd swear that is reverse psychology! Unfortunately I'm not gonna have any free time for a few weeks, I've got to get deer season preps done, I'm gonna try to get to LOZ for the fall crappie bite and my daughter has volleyball and loves it when dad is there. Not gonna be hard to figure out what I'll be doing.

Was gonna put in at 30 bridge again but I found a wheel seal bad on the trailer, inside of the wheel was all grease. Can't make it this weekend maybe first weekend of Oct.

Me and a buddy been putting in at 30 bridge at daylight on Fridays, been running my 20 hp prop up to the first riffle near three cabins, lots of fun pulling smallies out from under those rocks. As low as the river has been I'm surprised that anything can make it through the upper part of that riffle, narrow and skinny water.
