    Iv been using the Shimano Spirex 2500fd for more than ten years as my main reels. I have 5 of them. Never any binding. Have Dunked them in the creek many a time. No issues with binding. Broke some gears when I caught a 20lb Asian carp on one though. And broke one trout fishing at taneycomo in 5 degre January weather. The main frame cracked.

    Hog Wally Can you put in at red horse and go even short distance up or down river with a prop. I am running a 16 ft landau with 20 hp mercury? I am new to this forum, but grew up wade fishing and camping at Indian creek where Lowell Plymale used to take care of property in the 80's and early 90's
