My lovely wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a day out (9/28/13) with the Mackenzie Pirate Boat and Brian. We stayed the night before in the Rose Cottage...nice and extremely affordable with all the comforts of home, including Wi-Fi for all of those that can't be disconnected,
We were newbies on Saturday with the fly rod and Brian was the patient teacher and the persistent reminder!....mend, trim and stop are now part of our vocabulary.
We had an excellent day using just a white Maribou Jig. Rainbow's a plenty all day long and one nice smallmouth right off the bat.
Can't wait to set up a winter trip for smallmouth.
