  1. Simms Wool Half Finger gloves.
  2. LittleRedFisherman- Glad you enjoyed the video. The dock is repaired and back up and running. I love the stretch of Lobo too. Fished it again yesterday and even with windy/rainy/low water conditions we still scrapped a out dozen or so with a couple of 17-18" rainbows. Did a little wading at Cow Shoals yesterday afternoon after Lobo and saw the yellow bellies are starting to get active. Gonna be a fun few weeks on the river. Hope you can get back soon.
  3. Flatbottom Boy- LitleRedFisherman it really is a preferance thing. I've fished with guys that use paddles and guys that used their trolling motor. I will say that I personally think that paddles are much quieter than using yout trolling motor. Glad you enjoyed the video!
  4. Here's a link to a GoPro video I shot this past Monday on the Little Red River. Enjoy!

  6. Abel TR2 on it's way. Got it for $165. Can't wait to throw a RIO Perception line on it and hit the water!
  7. Thanks for the feedback guys. I know Abel's are crazy expensive, but I found a guy selling a mint condition TR2 on eBay, and am looking at probably getting it for less than $200. The click drag shoudn't be a big issue on the Little Red, which is my home water. I think palming the spool will be kind of a cool new (old) way to fish. My auction ends in a few hours. I'll let ya know what happens. Thanks again!
  8. Hello all...wondering if anyone in here has any experience with the Abel TR2 reel. I just got a new Winston GVX Select and am looking at maybe getting a new reel for it. I currently have a Lamson Guru 1.5 that I use for my 5wt and have another spool loaded with 3wt line and use the same reel for two rods. I have never used a click and pawl reel before. It would be strictly a trout rod used on mostly tailwaters. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks! -Brian
  9. My name is Brian. I primarily fish the Little Red, mostly on weekdays so I have the place to myself. If anyone else has the freedom to fish on Mondays give me a shout. Always looking for some good folks to fish with. Also like to get out on Lake Maumelle to fly and spin cast for crappie and bass.
