Thanks fellas. I've got to head over towards West Plains to meet him @ my family's property, and he's adament about fishing in AR - I think b/c of the 4 species. I'm in spgfld so I'm down to Taney as much as possible, but just bought my first house so I haven't been as much as I'd like. We'll probably head to the White. I'll let you know how it goes.

That's comforting. It seemed an odd coincidence that bait jars would wash up on the inside of a bend which is arguably the best hole in the stretch.

Which tailwater would you fish this weekend between the White and the Norfork? My brother is coming in town this weekend. I see him about twice a year and would like to put him on some good size fish. I was hoping water would be running so I could have him throwing Rapalas against the bank, but it doesn't look like that's going to be the case this weekend. What's a fella to do and why?

Speaking of poaching...it seems like I always see empty bait jars at the first bend when walking downstream from sewer hole to Tan Vat. Don't know if they're washing down from the park during high water, but that's probably unlikely. Someone should place a game camera on a tree in the vicinity to help apprehend the culprit(s). I don't have a camera nor do I live close by or else it would have already been done.

Any of you fellas ever make it over to the upper end of Norfork - between the convergence and Udall? I suppose it would fish very similar to Bull Shoals, but never hear anyone mention it.

I heard that you have to register canoes in the state of AR, unlike MO. Is this true? What about attached trolling motors?
