  1. Thanks so much for the advice. That's exactly what I was looking for. Don't know why I quit fishing for so long but now I feel like a kid in a candy store. Going to put on some lighter line and try out some smaller lures. I love fishing with jigs already for crappie so that one thing I'll buy to help ease me in a little!
  2. Thanks for the advice! That's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. And I have 6lb on the reel so I'll change to 4lb. Water should be off for the times I'll be out.
  3. Going out to ten killer lake and the LIR on Monday and this website has taught me A LOT about the water levels and the Dam. My gear and tackle is all geared for bass fishing and catfish in California and I have only fished for trout with live bait, salmon eggs, and recently power bait. I am new to Oklahoma and have only done a little trout fishing at lake Watonga. Fishing on the LIR I want to try using some artificial lures. If anyone has any recommendations on what a bass fisherman should use to ease into becoming a noobie trout fisherman send me a shout out. Got a lot of crappie type jigs and bass lures and the like. I'm not interested in fly fishing. Want to use some conventional bait and lures to start.
  4. I am new to the website new to fishing in Oklahoma. I grew up on Clearlake in Lake County California and did a lot of bass, catfish, and some trout fishing growing up. Moved to Norman, Oklahoma over a decade ago for work and stopped fishing once I got here. I guess I missed Clearlake so much I just didn't want to try new things. I have started getting back into fishing and caught some trout at lake Watonga while camping and I'm hooked again! Going out to ten killer lake and the LIR on Monday and this website has taught me A LOT about the water levels and the Dam. Decided to join because I think there is a lot of experience here and I feel like I'm learning to fish all over again.
