Hey guys this isn't exclusive to Stockton Lake but I wanted to get the word out. I have put together a Bass Tournament on August 2 as a fundraiser for our Youth Ministry. I have attached a poster with all the details. $100/team entry fee, 2-4 person teams. Dinner will be provided after the weigh in. Teams can fish any pond, river, creek, or lake they want. Bring the 4 biggest bass to the weigh in at 6pm, winning team gets $400 prize money. Contact me at 417-737-1780 for registration and details. Thanks for the interest and happy fishing!

Fishing a white grub on chunk rock and smaller rock banks.... yes a lot of females carrying eggs.... late spawn fish I guess.

put in at CC this morning with a friend hoping to catch some bass. found some crappie on the bank right away to my surprise so we switch to them and ended up with 23 nice slabs all caught right on the bank we also caught several keeper largemouth and a couple of nice channel cat. I'm no expert on the matter but I was definitely not expecting to find crappie right on the bank. does that surprise anybody else or just me.

I was just above 160 bridge. I caught all the crappie of one lay down about 5ft deep in a very short time. Whites were here and there.

Put in at CC late this afternoon and headed up the river. Caught lots of small whites and 3 good ones, all three females carrying eggs. Switched to crappie late in the day and caught 12 nice slabs 12-13" and a few shorts. Great way to end the week.
