Have been going out for a little while each day for the past coupe of weeks. They are really biting right now, so want to take advantage of it. We're new to the area and have stuggled to get started, but with fishing like this, we're catching on.
This fish came on my first cast today. Hard to beat that. Didn't have my scale, but he was over 20". Was thin from the spawn. My son decided he need to hold it up for the photo. He had a great time and is catching the fishing bug. Great way to spend some time together.
All the fish we're catching (and we are catching a lot) are on the bottom, fished real slow, with smaller, finess type baits on light lackle. The bite can be tricky, they are picking it up and moving it, so you have to work on the hook set. Most all the LM's have spawned, but catching a lot of brownies still in the process. On Tues, we caught several goggles. Some real nice ones.
Fishing is good right now. Get out there!
