You will not make it with a prop even in higher water. If you don’t know river no chance advise against it. Ur screwed if prop shears off which will likely happen and river can be unforgiving

MDC should look into this issue…trout were reproducing and that needs to continue. I agree more traffic and fishing on river in addition to possible otter population has affected trout population. May need to consider reducing limits and size restrictions until healthy population can be restored

Lots of gravel bars to camp esp with low water and can wade fish. Float camps not good IMO. Good luck

Fished river past two days. River pretty low hard to navigate with jet but managed. Fish bite slow but steady caught good number of trout and a few decent size. Had river almost to ourselves except few kayaks and one other boat. Weather nice and wildlife out and about. Parking lot at whiten has water flowing thru it. Was told beaver dam on a spring in area diverted water to parking area kind of a mess.

They used a boat to stock from turner down below whiten. Fish we caught did not look like stockers lots of color healthy and good size

Did some fishing last Wednesday and Thursday with 3 others. Fish biting pretty good caught some nice bows with my partner hooking a fat 19 incher. On Thursday RV’s and Camping trailers moved in along with campers. All was ok except parking your vehicle and trailer tough especially if you arrived later in the day.

I suggest 25hp jet. I took mine couple yrs ago to cotter and glad i did. They were renting jon boats with 9hp outboards and knocking props off left and right $$$. Good luck.

Two of us just got back from couple days fishing. River was a little high/fast but we did pretty good on rainbows. Not many wading opportunities drifted mainly from boat. Fished between turner and riverton caught a few below Halls Bay which was a first for me. Went down below hwy 160 bridge several miles smallmouth scattered in big water it seems. If water drops more fishing should be real good. Lots of people canoeing and enjoying river

Vera Cruz or highway 14 accesses good for camping and bank fishing river a little high but should drop soon if no major rains. If you have not been worth trip scenic good fishing camping and remote
