Thanks to allw ho offered input. We ended up with Forrest Smith on the Elk River and had a great time. The bud light/ bikini hatch was littel heavier than I'd prefer, but the river was big enough for all of us. It's fun, relaxing way to fish. Have to try it again on my own sometime.

Brand new here and hoping for some help. I've fished the ozarks on and off for many years and I live in Wichita, KS. I want to take my 13 year old son on a trip for smallmouth and spotted and I'm hoping for a guide recommendation. I'm active on enough similar sites (hunting related) to know that posts like these are often pet peeves to frequent posters. I'm looking for anyone's private holes, just a guide recommendation. Our targeted dates are the weekend of June 28 and 29. Although I have done some fly-fishing and I enjoy it, my son would rather stick with his spin-fishing gear. TIA.
