  1. Looking to upgrade or trade my units. Right now I have 2 humminbirds. 998c si at dash and 1158c on now. Have them linked. noth are complete for my boat but the 1158 would need a new ducer for the trolling motor or transom ($85 @ BPS). 1158 is missing the lock for the card slot. Both units are currently installed on my boat. I'm in springfield if you would like to come check me out. I'm seeing prices on the 998 from 1,200-900 bucks and the 1158 from 1,600-1,000. I would like to sell these as a package for 2k + PayPal fees or as gift to save fees. Can txt pics 998 - $950 1158 - $1,150 Chace 214-609-2657

  3. Yeah. I just changed the lower unit gear oil before the first freezing temps just in case I had water in it. Oil looked great and noetak shavings. Just happens sometimes. Hope the insurance claim goes good. It will save me some money. Strange it went out without hitting anything. Shocked me a little but I'm sure it won't be the lady time I tear it up lol.

  20. Next time will be better. I will prolly get a cabin next time though. My back is still sore lol. I will be down there. No reason not to give it a few more throws!!
  21. lol. yeah these guys are awesome to help me out. next time ill be more prepared. my wife caught a white while trolling and looked at me and said, "im hung up". i laughed and said that we are moving 3.2 mph. either that line would have broke or the rod would snap, its a fish! she reeled it in and ending up with the bigest of the trip. around 17". in texas that would be what we call a "mag sandie". here its a normal white lol.
  22. Today was much better. Yes I had bait and was a little more prepared. Thanks to j-doc and you. All great info to help me out. Also met Vern out there yesterday and today. He is a nice guy and fun to talk to. Didn't catch any striper at the spot but did catch 2 gat lol. Left there at nine and went south for whites. Trolling a 3xd in gizzard shad color was the ticket. 8 big white in about 25 minutes. Another boat out there with 3 guys trolling a rigs and the cranks caught more. Was a great weekend and got to meet some fellow fishermen which is really nice. Thank you guys for all the help and pointers and information. Couldn't have done it without y'all. I'll be visiting beaver more that's for sure! Very nice lake!! Thanks guys. Wish there was a striper my report but maybe next time!!!
  23. I'm out this morning and haven't seen anything blow up. I'm guess the clouds are hurting (based on tx conditions). What depths have u guys been catchin em in? My cell is 214-609-2657 feel free to give me a call with any advice. I know I am asking a lot and I'm sorry for that. Was trying to be prepared for it but I don't think I am lol.
