  2. I love in springfield mo. I fish table rock, stockton, pom de, lake of the Ozarks, and even been to norfork a couple times. Just wanted to get out and try a little striper fishing. I have all the maps I need along with a good chip to find the spots. I also downloaded a map from the internet and put the points into navionics on my phone so I could have them. I'm gonna give it a shot tomorrow. What's a good place to calm at down there?
  3. The lake is about 2 hours from where I love so I would be getting there early morning. Would use artificial baits to make it easier (tougher) on myself for the first trip. Would be fun to catch a 20 pounder on my bass setups lol. May just give it a try for fun!
  4. Thanks for the info guys. if i go it will be for stirper/whites/hybrids. bass fishing is tough everywhere right now! i will report if i get out there!!
  5. Been living in springfield for a year now. Bass fishing is number 1 to me now but I came from Texas where whites and hybrids are fun to catch anytime. Don't know much about these lakes here. Haven't been on beaver or shoals. Mostly on table rock and stockton for bass. Wanted to take my wife on a striper trip but am very lost. I read some reports that a guide post on his website with some "hot spots". I don't mind going out and searching for fish and don't mind zeroing if it happens. But I do want to be prepared if I happen to find fish. Back home I use top waters, small swim baits, and slabs for "sandies" (whites) and hybrids. Never been big on live bait. I'm sure they are real deep up here in the summertime anyways. Any thoughts on what I should try if I head to beaver lake this weekend? Tight lines!

    Bass Fishing

Grass was on the surface in some areas and submerged in most. I didn't try it but I bet a chatter bait would kill em. Water temps by power site was 71-73 and got colder as I went north. Dropped to 54 just before branson landing. Grass was gone by branson landing. I guess it was to cold up there. People I talked to told me a buzz bait, from, or spinner bait is best out there. I can see why!

    Bass Fishing

well i woke up late and had a blow out on the way down so i didnt get on the water till about 8:30-9:00. did catch one thats was aboput 3 pounds. buddy caught a bunch on a drop shot in the gras. mine came off a ocho next to a dock. pretty cool little lake.
  8. Never fished lower Taney for bass. Usually go to TR or stockton. Wanted to try it out tomorrow. Hear that the water stays around 70 in the summer down there. Do those fish stay up shallower or is the 70's hot for them? Gonna give it a shot for sure though! Tight lines!

Thank you for sharing. I have learned to always have a wobble head tied on up here. Will report when I return tomorrow. Thanks guys!
  11. First I wanted to thank all the people that post in here. I have lives in Springfield for a year now and my favorite lake up here is table rock. Didn't have my boat up here last summer so I couldn't get out on TR until late winter/spring of this year. Don't have a clue what the bass here do with these deep lakes. I'm from dallas tx area and the fish there go about 20-35 feet in the summer on points, humps, road beds, and deep trees. We don't have the bluff walls or the 150' deep lakes down there. I'm kind of at a loss right now as to where to go. Gonna try tomorrow from about 5:30-11:00. Been reading a lot about this "big m" place. Did some searching on my navionics app and pinned some locations I wanted to try. Most where humps and points. Never drop shorted before but I do have a set up I could do it with if need be. Gonna mostly try poppers and buzzbaits early. Then switch to jigs, c-rigs, and big worm little later. Hope I can grab a few tomorrow. Tight Lines
