Thanks Vernon. We're alive and kicking - more marinas than I'd like shutdown and along with it their internet service. Shouldn't be long and I can make a trip and dust some off - Stockton State Park, Caleb Fair, Holiday Island need reset, in due time. Probably a weekend of it and they'll be talking. Thanks again!

Pomme is tough... there aren't an abundance of docks where I have network access. Take a look at the map on homepage first to see where the unit is located...they are plotted accurately. By that, I mean that the location of that unit isn't ideal, it's back in a cove more than I'd like. All others are over deeper water. The most I am able to claim is that those temperatures are accurate at the location they are in - so, in that cove where Nemo is, the readings are accurate.

I do. Prairie Creek is first on the list, they've got a big operation there with staff to look after it. Is Hickory Creek a marina? -

We've been fiddling with installing a camera that is fixed on the docks there so have just had the connections all out of sorts and had a visit cut short by some other obligations. It should be talking by tomorrow when we can swing through and get things situated. -

Nailed it, Phil. Not that you or I don't want to provide a good service, but stuff happens and we fix as we can. Thanks for chiming in. Ben -
Just letting anyone who might be curious know that I've fixed the 'Trends' pages on AnglerSpy.com and they should be working properly. They were only working sporadically, if at all, for the past week or so....and for that I do apologize. Someone that I won't name sent me a rather angry message at 2:30AM informing me of this....Some people. All I needed was a heads up and I can fix it - I just don't monitor it 24/7 these days - I do still have to make a living! Anyways, do be sure and let me know if things are broken, just be polite lol. I put links on those pages that make it very easy to email me, for a reason. Hope all had a Happy Thanksgiving. Ben

Hi guys, thanks for the plug! Ha. My name has clearly made its' way around the area before my time. Doc Gillispie was my grandfather, in the Branson area. Roy Gillispie was his name. An uncle Jack and dad John, both physicians in the Branson area. Anyways, the sensor is alive and well on Stockton at the State Park Marina! AnglerSpy.com and you can find it on the map and see historical average temps from 7-days and 30 days. Have a good one everyone, Ben

Water Temp and Clarity around the Lake
Ben Gillispie replied to lymorej's topic in Lake of the Ozarks
Water temperature is showing 65 degrees as of about 10 minutes ago. I have a sensor that reports real-time from Alhonna Resort & Marina on LOZ. Check it anytime for yourself at my website, AnglerSpy.com You can also get bi-weekly temp updates via text message here. Sorry for the shameless plug of my website, but it seems answer your question! Ben -
I won't drag on and on - hope everyone is doing well. We are proud of this new part of our service. As usual, we'll improve over time as we are able. It is 7-day and 30-day trends for temps, and clarity at the handful of locations I still have cameras. The marinas aren't staffed much this time of year and I sure can't drive all over the Ozarks region cleaning cameras! Ha. You can get to these from links in the text message updates, links in the windows that pop open from the map, and a link in the main menu of the site. https://anglerspy.com/trends-index.html Good luck to everyone. One small note - managed to catch some really fun Smallmouth down at Indian Point on a black and blue jig after at and after dark the last few nights. Fun stuff. Ben

Glad to hear it Larry.

Text Updates for Water Temperatures...
Ben Gillispie replied to Ben Gillispie's topic in Table Rock Lake
Thanks, Champ, I appreciate it! -
Hey guys and gals, I have a new service up and running that allows you to sign up to receive bi-weekly water temperature updates via text message. You can choose all lakes, a few lakes, or just the lake you want. We've been testing it for a few weeks and things seem to be working properly. Currently, we are sending out messages manually a few times per week, especially since there hasn't been much change is area water temps lately. Unsubscribing is easy should you need to do so. As we get a handle on how it is used and what peoples preferences are, we can adjust to send messages either more often, less often, or even let you choose as we go along. If this is of interest to you, there is no cost and you can sign up two ways. You may visit the link below and follow the quick instructions: Get Text Updates OR, you can text TEMPS to (417) 297-0702 and it will sign up you after you CONFIRM that you have done so. We aren't in the business of sending you spam or garbage, but as we grow and are able to find a few solid advertisers to keep us afloat, we may plug in a link or two in the messages as a way to offer additional value to an advertiser. These are simply links and should be of interest to you as we find the right partners. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS SERVICE. YOU FINE LADIES AND GENTS ARE ESSENTIALLY OUR BETA USERS AND YOUR FEEDBACK IS VALUABLE. OTHER FEEDBACK & SUGGESTIONS ARE ALSO IMPORTANT TO ME. Thanks again, and my apologies if I've been posting here a lot lately, things have just been picking up and I like to spread the word! Ben

Real-Time Water Temps on Stockton Lake
Ben Gillispie replied to Ben Gillispie's topic in Stockton Lake
Thanks Hammer, I thought you'd be the first to say something... the opportunity came up quickly today to get one in, sooner than expected, so we jumped at it. Have a good one, Ben -
You all know the drill... Got a unit up and running at Stockton State Park Marina on Stockton Lake that is reporting water temps, 1' and 10', every 15 minutes, to the Angler Spy Map Also, as usual, I know this is the TRL forum, but this is where it all started and there is enough cross over that I like to post here as well. Enjoy, and if you'd do me a favor, let others know. The more eyeballs using it, the better I can make it. Enjoy, and good luck. Ben

There is now a unit plotted on the Angler Spy on Stockton Lake that represents a water temperature monitoring unit at Stockton State Park. It is currently showing 66 @ 1' The unit reports water temperature readings from 1' and 10' deep, and updates the website every 15 minutes, day and night. If you enjoy having these water temperatures, please let others know about this service, it would be very useful to me! Enjoy, and feel free to message me if you see problems with this unit, generally have questions, or have comments. Good luck on the water, Ben

FLW guys are bright and early this morning, I've been hearing them run up the channel and a few towards Rock Lane. I'm no expert but it looks to be a tough few days of fishing! Have a good one everyone, Ben

Haha... that thought was definitely in my head, but I do not like things not working! In that case...all these dang things might be broke!

96 CHAMP - I've looked into it and it seems to be working so far as I can tell. You are right that it hasn't budged much, but neither have the others. We haven't had any major change in weather pattern in weeks, so there hasn't been any reason for major changes in water temp. I will keep eyes on it today and this week and if I too notice something wrong, I'll be sure and replace it. The things are subject to a humid and harsh world, so things do happen. That unit in particular is on the courtesy dock, so it could get knocked by a Fall drunkard fairly easily! Be sure and let me know if you continue to notice it being wonky and I will continue to watch it myself. Ben

Thanks, Champ! Glad it is useful.

Here are 30 Day Water Temperature Trend Graphs from Indian Point, Cricket Creek, Cape Fair, Kings River and Holiday Island. I am working on having these be created dynamically on the site, but for now, I just crank them out in Excel. Obviously they are all quite similar, but are neat to see, regardless. Hoping some of the tournament guys catch wind of Angler Spy! Might be a great avenue to expand. Ben
