Wally I also have never caught as many walleye in one place as fellows. I went the other night and threw a spinner bait and within an hour had caught 6 one over 4lbs
They used to carry them at bass pro. Havnt for some time. They have the foam on the ends of each blade. If anyone has any I'd be interested in buying them.
How big is the biggest bass anyone's seen come from fellows? Was talking to an older man on the dock over the weekend who said the conservation did a shock survey a few years back and said more then one fish over 12lbs came up?
No I was serious? I bought the biggest I could find? 50" fish is huge and not just gonna swim into a net. I used it tonight on the walleye I caught. And the buzzbait deal was pure luck. I wasn't fishing for Muskie at that time and of course I catch one. Trust me I can't afford to lose my buzz baits they don't make them anymore. I like iv said I appreciate the help iv never done this kinda fishing and all I'm out there for is pictures. So I never wanna see a fish die and go to waste.
I caught one yesterday on a black buzz bait. Needless to say it wasn't on the rod with 60lb braid. I thought I had a wall hanger bass. Right as it got close to the bank him and my buzz bait went bye bye. Pretty disappointing considering when I fish for one with proper gear I never catch one. But when bass fishing I do catch one. Thanks Kevin for the advice. I'm going to get a net free willie can fit in tonight. But won't be fishing for Muskie on purpose till the water temps cool down.
So because iv only posted a few times I shouldn't be answered? Lol I dunno what happen to all the good people that used to fish. And I just moved to this area. in Memphis we didn't have Muskie. So I asked and figured I'd get a few tips. And I wasn't asking for anyone's hot spots or favorite lure. Just when to fish a lure to throw and what I should be looking for to throw at
Me and my fiancéa were fishing at fellows yesterday and an old man in a boat was casting so close to us on the bank that his lure was splashing us. I just waved and told him I didn't wanna fish anyways... Had my ole lady not been there I would have but my grabbing hook on and started casting toward his boat. I just don't understand why someone in a boat wants to be right on top of someone on the bank. I know when I'm in my boat I wanna be as far as I can from everyone
Yea! Not a bad pond. On down the road is another apartment complex with a pond but iv never caught anything there. Iv seen small bass swimming around in it tho.
Thanks! Iv fished vally water milk caught some nice fish but far and few between. I stopped at an apartment complex yesterday on the south side of town and caught some nice size bass and missed one that was prolly close to 4lbs. Iv had better luck at the small ponds around here then the lakes so far.
I just moved to Springfield and this was also one of the first spots I tried! Iv never seen anyone catch a crappie or catfish! But I have caught a few really nice bass 3-4 pounds. Off of top water frogs and flukes. Iv never caught more then 3 in a trip but it's fun when you catch one!
When's the best time to start fishing for Muskie here? And where are most fish caught? Depth, cover, time? Thanks in advance! I also just started fishing around Springfield and was wondering where the big bass are! Caught a few dinks in Springfield lake and fellows but nothing over 15"
