If by "a lot of people" you mean the few individuals on this forum that have driven away most of the guides and posters that used to frequent it by posting comments like this, then you should rethink your count. That's not a lot of people. Mike Webb has done as much if not more for fishing in SW Missouri than any other individual, his character is beyond reproach. Mike has reached out to me and mentioned that these posts have effected him and his family greatly. He has lived in SW Missouri his entire life and feels that these attacks aimed at CPA are direct attacks at him. Mike also mentioned he will spare no expense to defend his name and his integrity. The individuals on this site that have chosen to defame him and others as well as the organizations they represent should be cautious, this is not the coffee gang at the bait shop. Make sure you know your facts before you post. The information on this website can be seen by all and is being monitored.

Great point. The only time I ever use my boat is for tournaments, same with my rods, reels and baits. Wouldn't want to have any fun or leisure time.........

CPA is not alone..... Scan the archives and you''l find a number of organizations, companies and individuals that have received the same. The fishing forum greats here have an ax to grind with most in the fishing world. BTW looks like I'll see ya in the morning. In the second flight

It never ceases to amaze. Those on message boards discouraging others from fishing a tournament because of the lack of anglers fishing the tournament and in turn to the lack of payback. It is possible that the lack of participation is partially due to the number of people doing this? Probably not, that would assume that people on message boards have some influence. They don't. More likely the economic downturn and it's effect on small business owners ( the bulk of those that fished regional tournaments) is to blame for the lower numbers. But as the all knowing, all powerful old guard of everything fishing it is important that you get out there and do whatever you can to destroy a tournament organization trying to attract new anglers. Rave on! About the days when you used to fish and how you only broke even on by winning $20k in an 8 tournament series (that must of been a lot of cold cuts and oil at $2500 per derby...) Beat down! Those wanting to try a new format, it doesn't fit what you think is right and true about fishing. Enlighten! The young tell them it's not worth it, stay home, don't fish, don't enjoy competing in a sport they love. Eventually, the good old days you rave about will return....... I'm sure you know best sitting in the glow of your computer screen at home vs. fishing competitively at any level. Enlighten us all with your wisdom and save us from the error of our ways..... While we build the monuments you so richly deserve.... We are not worthy of your fishing message board greatness
