  1. I have a 95 200 hp.mercury blackmax when I get it started it runs perfect. About 1/2 the time it won't start ,I belive it is not getting fuel. I have replaced the bulb and feul pump with new mecury parts . Still having same problem. Any suggestions on my next step??
  2. Snagged in outlet. The brand was ace and it $16-$17 at the neighborhood market.
  3. I am 49 and have suffered with tennis elbow for 4 years now. My first coarse of treatment was a shot, worked almost a full year. Next year shot didn't even phase it moved to shoulder then wrist. More shots, minimal results. Started physical therapy, electric stimulation and exercises, 6 weeks minimal results. My physical therapist finally went fishing with me, saw how I working my arm,Jerkbaits and flipping always made it hurt worst, he believes that the motions for fishing are a little different than that for tennis or other activities generally connected with tennis elbow. He had me get a wrist brace with a splint on the bottom up into the palm. Within a hour or so ,after hurting for several months, my elbow was feeling noticeably better. He said it keeps me from stretching the tendon. Now if I even feel a twinge I put it on and consider it to be a miracle.
  4. aarch-dale I agree no harm was done. When its that cold using a bigger boat is smarter and safer. It is a unfortunate this is a mute point for a couple three years. I have not been out in a boat since the flood and am curious to find out how much it changed the lake. With the hot water no longer flowing in the winter ,the changes caused by the new 60 hwy. bridge, and what effect the new 65 hwy. bridge will have I wonder how the bass will respond. I guess I will have to sell the current boat I have for this lake and get a smaller jon boat that can be loaded at the boat house. It truly is a great fishery.
  5. I would agree with you Sam the fish on lake Springfield are not fit to eat . Bigger Boats that don't run their big motor are quitter and safer. I don't agree that it is a poorly written ordinance. The purpose is very plain . I am not sure if the veterans cemetery was there at the time. The ordinance states plainly attached motor. The purpose would be the same as Fellows lakes 40 hsp. restriction, to limit the number of boats respective to the size of the body of water. They could place a speed limit on fellows and remove the hsp. restriction I am sure they would sell more stickers. Lake Springfield is small.
  6. The city park rangers mainly are the ones who issue tickets. I have never reported anyone nor would I, its none of my business. the city ord. clearly states attached motor, pretty simple. Would you put your boat on Fellows or McDainal? Those who do make an investment to comply with the rules do have a gripe. I would love to put my big boat on the lake, way more comfortable to fish out of. The slot limit is 12"-15" have to be released on bass. If I disagree with this can I keep bass in the slot? or more than the legal limit? I fail to understand the difference. Anybody can do whatever they want, you just have to accept the consequences and ethically live with them. Good discussion. s s
  7. Just my 2 cents, I wish they would do away with gas moter altogether. The lake is small and most of it is narrow. My 16' richline can get anywhere on the lake in 20 minutes with a 55# thrust trolling moter. In the river channel even the small moters throw off a good wake. Half of boats with gas moters slow down and are considerate, the others not so much. It is a $250 fine for a oversized moter and they do give tickets. My fear is they will take all moter off the water to appease the pleasure kyakers. My reasons are selfish in there are big fish in that lake and alot of people keep their fish.
  8. I find this topic a little ironic, I fish out a 20' bass boat most weekends although through the week when work permits I fish from shore. I have had nothing but good encounters with kyaks on the big lake. At lake Springfield and fellows kyakers for the most part are rude and inconsiderate of bank fisherman. I believe most don't paddle over your line on purpose, they just don't realize it.
  9. Those are some nice bass! How long ago did you catch them?
  10. Just read this to late to go to the meeting. Any information would be appreciated.
