little ike

First time long time follower of ozark anglers....newbie from the northeast. Looking to get the opinions of the "ned heads" on this rig being used in the upstate ny area. Why shouldn't this work? Or does it? Any of you experts use this finess tactic north of pa? Also is the 1/10 oz head a starting point in the 3' to 6' range. Looking forward to trying after ice out. Thanks
