  1. I didn't realize the ned rig was so controversial when I started this thread. I am definitely not trying to generate a buzz about it just happened to see someone on here mention it and decided to google it then try it. I can't wait until I get a serious day of fishing from the boat with it . I'm good with smalls and other species of fish so I like it so far
  2. Ok so my first 2 cast I catch a keeper crappie and a small bass. I'm thinking this rig is the best thing to ever happen to fishing. I set my 9 year old son and 5 year old daughter up with ned rig. All using Berkley 8lb test. Well we fish for about an hour all of my dock we landed 2 more blue gill and a baby catfish lost 10 ned rigs and my son broke a pole. The ned rig hangs up on everything!!! Maybe I need to fish a different spot or I need to use stronger line because $15 worth of tackle and a broken pole isn't worth 1 keeper crappie
  3. I've seen a dead one floating around my friends dock at the 2mm of the big niangua. Why did they stop stocking them do you know?
  4. You guys ever fish for these on lake of the ozarks? I seen the big lures at local sporting goods store and thought what the heck is that for now I know.
  5. Hearing people talk about the ned rig I'm so excited to try it.Bass pro was sold out of shroom heads but I found some at a local sporting goods store. Be heading down there tomorrow evening! I just enjoy catching fish all sizes and species sounds like the ned rig is for me
  6. Ok so as I'm fishing for crappie having 0 luck my son was trying to catch bait fish he got bored with the bobber so he started casting just his worm and was catching all types of fish every 4 or 5 cast but was getting hung up a lot with exposed hook is that basically what a texas rig setup is for to avoid getting hung up on rocks sticks etc? He was loving the fishing caught a catfish drum 10" largemouth and some bluegill all off my dock in about half an hour. I bought the stuff to try a ned rig and was thinking about trying a texas rigged worm. I want to keep the bite coming for him since he is 9 it will keep him interested but don't want to re tie hooks every 5 cast is ned rig and texas rig a good place to start?
  7. Anyone having any luck in little Niangua arm?
