yeah i have to pay the bills on friday. prefishing is out for this tourney. graphed some fish still in 20 ft of water. that will be back up plan. if they are suspended im in trouble. i havent figured those suspended fish out.

saw alot of 52 degree water

launched out of PC in the morning. stayed in the dirty water. Never put the crankbait down. Best 5 was 16.5. Even some nice size spots. Going to try by luck at the everett series next weekend. it will be a first for me.

I was in Ventris at sun up. Saw maybe 60-70 boats flying to the clean end.

From looking at the weight in pics on Facebook some pretty good sacks.

whiffed today also. fished from coppermine to bridge. covered alot of water no bites. guessing the cold pushed the bass back out.

Found tje right cadence today. 8 keeper lm in less than 5 ft dirty water. Warts seem to work. All fish had signs they were eating crawdads.

Thanks guys for reply. I fish bass mostly. I lived in east Texas before moving here. They difference in fishing between those lakes is huge. I love the challenge of beaver and the beauty of it. Was planning on goi g to lost bridge area this saturday(might be a little cold). Been fish in Rambo area the last few weeks. It was tough to get a bite and really didn't see much bait.

Trying to figure out this lake is sometimes very difficult. If been studying topo map and the swings seem like go to places. I never really paid much attention to them in the past.

Boat winch lock broke and handle popped me in the hand. Broke a few bones. Had a cast put on but that didn't last long lol. I didn't know I was closterphobic. It's driving me crazy not being able to fish.

Went from back to front and then back to front again. What was promising is that I had a lot more keeper type,fish today. Only a few dinks. The fish didn't really seem active I think I hit them all in the head. It was a fun morning. Only saw 2 other boats. All fish came off gravel banks with lay downs. I threw a h2o sb pearl with dark back with rattle. Only thing I could get them to bite. Water was glass in between rain.

Launched at monte ne this morning in light rain. Ran the banks with squarebill caught close to,twenty spots by noon. It was a peaceful morning even in the rain. All fish caught were in 1-2 ft water.

launched at PC 630 am. Made a run to Rambo creek. Fished banks with crack baits Only caught one small fish. Not allot of bait fish. It was cloudy all morning. Fished Ventris and caught 8 small fished. Used a 7m flicker shad. Not really nothing to brag about all day. I was on the water for 9 hrs. Good news is no more big wake boats.

thanks J doc.. i was just trying to plan ahead for this saturday.. i know they are having tourney out of PC. I dont know how crowded it will be.. just looking for a secondary place to launch.

well I went out Friday evening. Bite was not good at all. I fished secondary points with drop shot. Only managed 2 small spots. Got out on the water before sun up Saturday. We fished fast with square ills and spinnerbaits. Probably caught a couple dozen spots. All fish were caught in depths of 15-20 ft. I had a nice kicker fish in coose hollow off a jig in 2 ft of water. Close to 5 lbs. water temps were 84ish. Places fished foard creek ventris and coose. Look for lay downs and chunk rock in 15-20 water. The bite was better on slow retrieve

Pretty sure the turnover is from the cooling of the surface water. It becomes more dense. I know some of lakes in east Texas have already started turnover. Water has cooled 15 degrees in one month. Just my 2 cents. Plus it doesn't effect fishing as much as some think.
