Its been a while since I posted but the fishing here on the Gulf Coast in Pensacola, Florida has been fantastic. Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and White Trouts are the hot bite during the winter and spring time. It only gets better as we get into the spring time with the water temperatures warming up, the fish are feeding like crazy. The Redfish have been feeding on the bait fish with the birds. You find the birds feeding you find the Bull Redfish. I have been throwing a white 1 to 2 oz buck tail jig head at the schools of birds and hooking up with some great action. The Redfish are in the deeper channels and canals feeding on mullets and other bait fish. A live shrimp on light tackle has been a great choice to hook up on these guys or a Mirror Lure has been very productive too. The Sheepshead, Black Drums, and White Trouts are located around structured areas, oyster beds, and local bridges. Bait of choice is Live Shrimp on a Carolina rig weight depends on the current from 1 to 2 oz egg sinker is working great. Are you ready to come down and get in on the action give me a shout I would love to take you and your family out on a fishing trip to make some memories that last a lifetime.
