Gotcha. Will check out Lenexa Lake. Didn't even realize that Shawnee Mission Park was right there, and I've driven on Midland from my sister's place countless times. Might have to give that a try sometimes for no other reason than it's proximity to her place. Yeah, it was probably my dad. I don't think anyone else is fly fishing that area. He's been in the KC Star a couple times. You should get out with him when crappie start hitting. He caught a 16-incher last year. Fishes with fish-cat tubes. Good time.

Thanks for the info about Twin Bridges. I've tried Beaver a few times, but I need to do some reading on here to figure it out. Tough lake. I'm from Emporia. My dad, Bill Hartman, guides. I'm used to fishing ponds up there for the most part, so all this moving water is going to take me a bit to adapt to. My sister and her family are in Shawnee. Any good fishing around there for when I visit?

Hi y'all. Been fly fishing Kansas, Colorado, and Montana for about 20 years, but I'm relatively new to the area. Teaching at the U of A. Love tying flies and have a few buddies who have been fishing/guiding in the area for a while. I'm interested in learning as much as I can, and I know there is a lot to learn. Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all that you've shared. Love learning more about all the area has to offer. Primarily focused on smallmouth and anything on Beaver because it's close. Gonna try to get out and get some walleye this year on the upper White around here, and I'm looking to learn anything I can about what to cast. Thanks! Tony
