  1. Phil, Thank you for the quick response. What method do you suggest using?
  2. Hello All, My wife and I were thinking about taking our bass boat to Taneycomo tomorrow to do some trout fishing. We typically wade in the trophy area with our fly rods but with all the recent rains we have not been able to make it down there in a while. I have a couple of questions about boating on Taneycomo, I have read the topic on boating to the dam but just wanted some clarification. We will be coming from Springfield and wondering what is the best ramp to use? Also with how much water is being released is it pretty safe to just stay on plane and in the middle and get up to the dam or are there certain spots I need to watch out for? I have a humminbird unit with the lakemaster chip which will help me find the channel if needed. I have also been reading posts about quite a few nice fish being caught on Crankbaits and was going to try this but is anyone catching fish on a particular pattern with a fly rod? Any other info on how to fish Taneycomo from a boat is much appreciated. Thanks for all the help.
  3. Does anyone have info on other clubs in the Springfield area?
  4. Hello all, Im new to the area and spoke with a gentleman today about fishing. We got on the subject of bass fishing and he suggested I luck at the finely river bass club out of nixa. Does anyone have any contact info for them or know where I get some info on the club and get involved in some of their tournaments? Thanks
  5. Hello all!! New to the site and the area! I just moved to The Springfield area with my wife and we love to fish. I came from central Kansas and have only fly fished taneycomo in this area. We are thinking about trying some walleye and crappie fishing on Stockton on Thursday and just have a few questions. We live in southern Springfield and wondering the best ramp to use from where we are coming from. I've been reading quite a bit on this site and it seems like the walleyes are biting fairly well. Wondering if there are any places for us to start looking once we get on the water, not looking for anybody's hot spots just a couple of places to look. Thanks in advance
