The Corps of Engineers is replacing intake equipment at Norfork Dam. Because of the design of Norfork Dam, this project requires the pool elevation to be at or below elevation 553.0 ft. Southwestern will continue to generate as needed to keep the pool below 553.0 ft; however, there will be times when floodwaters will create a rising pool at Norfork and will prevent work which will prolong the project.
If the pool drops to below 553.0 ft and inflow into Norfork Lake is low, then you may see more periods of minimum flow during the days and weekends.
