  1. looks like its at a place called swift hollow not to far west of hwy 5 bridge, seeing lots of docks and boat houses while looking on google earth,I know how to fish those so that can always be a fallback if I cant find schooling or suspended fish, and I do have a few jug lines that I keep for taking my grandson out (he loves catfish),I assume shad can be caught with a cast net around lights in the predawn hours(that's how I do it here). Thanks for the replys guys I am starting to get spooled up for this trip, and look forward to fishing a new lake, just hoping to put the inlaws on some fish and enjoy the scenery up there.
  2. Hello all, the wifes family are having a reunion for the week after july 4th out of hawks landing @ lake of the Ozarks,I have been instructed to bring my boat to take a few of them fishing each day. Having fished very few places outside of Texas and never in Missouri, any info on what kind of fish to target and what some basic tackle yall use would be appreciated. Not looking for GPS cords. or such just general info like depth and cover and general areas to start out in. One inlaw from Minnesota is also bringing his boat and he is set up for walleye and northern fishing while I am more into crappie fishing and chasing the schooling sand bass from time to time. If I can ever return the favor for anyone coming down our way(DFW) I would be happy to do so. Our boats both have good electronics and we have good spinning rods and bait casters and a few zebcos for the folks who cannot throw a baitcaster. Anyone coming to fish in Texas might also find this site useful. http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php Also I was not sure which forum to post this in so any help there would also be appreciated.
