  1. Im not so interested in big fish (but that would be nice) I just like the exploring aspect of creek fishing and how its closer quarters. Im happy this thread is staying active the more you guys post the more i learn
  2. So the best place to fish for smallies is downstream of cannon dam is what I’m reading 😂
  3. More places to try! I’m gonna be driving all over Missouri this print trying all these. Didn’t expect to get all this info
  4. I will be reading through that book for sure. Thanks for that link
  5. so you're saying its not worth this much? lol
  6. thanks for narrowing those out for me. through my scouring of google maps i have a couple spots on the auxvasse creek and silver fork north of columbia that i will be trying when it warms up
  7. I definitely plan on giving silver fork and auxvasse creek a try as soon as I can. As far as i know from living in columbia forever the hinkson and perche creeks seem a bit too urban and polluted for smallies but I could be wrong. Maybe some of the more rural stretches hold them. I will look into some of the other creeks you listed. Thanks for giving me a nice list to go off of. I will keep an eye out for that book as well
  8. This is great info and more than enough to get me started thanks so much
  9. I live near columbia but I would really love to fish some streams for smallies without driving farther than I need to. Obviously I would have to drive south my question is how far. Not asking for specific spots just the closest streams/creeks/rivers closest to columbia with decent fishing. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
  10. Looks like tons of fun I will keep the eurocarping in mind!
  11. I have lived in Boone county all my life. I do not own a boat and I have never fly fished but I usually get up to Canada once a year to go after walleye. I also have access to some trout fishing on the white river and fishing on bull shoals when I can get down there. And by access I mean grandparents with a house and boat right on the river. Anyway when I’m in the Columbia area it’s mostly bank fishing for bass.
  12. I live in the Columbia area but this forum is the best (and only) forum for fishing close to me. I am 24 years old and have been fishing my whole life. I hope to learn some things from better anglers than me on here. I fish for everything but Bass, Walleye and Trout are my favorites. I am very interested right now in finding some nice streams for smallies close to Columbia so if anyone has the goods on that don't be afraid to reply. Thanks!
