I have a retired friend that is wanting to try his hand at catching some walleye on Stockton and wondering if anyone had any advice on it. I told him to try trolling crankbaits but I hardly ever fish Stockton either so I really don't know. He has a boat and use to fish Table Rock years ago but quit for awhile and now is getting back into fishing. Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the reply and advice. I had never heard of a Ned rig I had to look that up. I understand the short attention span. We have a pond I take her fishing at now and then and she usually winds up trying to catch frogs or grasshoppers.😉

Just introducing myself. I live about 50 miles west of Stockton, just west of Lamar, lived here all my life. Love the outdoors hunting, fishing, camping etc. My daughter who is now 6 has been wanting to go camping so we are planning a trip to Stockton state park next weekend. I have grown up fishing ponds and strip pits but don't know a thing about lake fishing so any advice would be appreciated. We don't have a boat so obviously we will be fishing from the bank. I don't care what kind of fish we catch just anything to keep a 6 year old interested. She loves the outdoors so hopefully the camping trip will be a success and we can make a family tradition out of it. Thanks.
