  1. Stopped by for 2 hours on Tuesday afternoon since I was down in the area from St. Louis for work. There were some nice stringers of fish taken. I got one fat 16 incher into the net before leaving with a heavily weighted black Pine squirrel sculpin. I have never seen the quality of fish there before. The water was also higher than I have ever seen it. The fish must be eating well with all the water flowing.
  2. Thanks for the info. These look perfect.
  3. Looking for a place like Lilley's only on Table Rock. A place that is on the water with boat slips. Any ideas?? Thanks for your input.
  4. Sounds like you may be from the St. Louis area. If so, there are two good places that have all the materials you would ever need. Both are on Manchester Rd. Feather Craft is just east of Brentwood and T. Hargrove is just west of Brentwood. Bass Pro does have pine squirrel strips and marabou. Also jig heads in sizes you would need. Hope this helps.
  5. I am coming down this weekend and want to camp and fish at night. I was going to stay at the table rock state park, but apparently the gate closes at 10pm. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, is there another place to pitch a tent close to the dam. I've searched the internet for campgrounds in Branson and all I find is RV parks. Any info is appreciated. Dave
  6. I will be down there as well on Friday and Saturday night. I don't get to come down that way to often, but read these forums all the time. Great info!!!! My brothers are planning to join me on Friday, but I am on my own for Saturday. Maybe I'll see ya there. I'll be driving a silver Jeep Liberty. My last trip was in March. Just had a little girl in April so the wife has kept me around the house. Also from the St. Louis area, so it's hard to get down there. Dave
  7. I am debating on coming down Friday night or Saturday morning. I will be coming from Columbia, IL. Maybe I'll try to stop by one of your campsites to see how the fishing was. I don't have a site yet, as I may just come down Saturday.
  8. Thanks!! I will driving a silver Jeep Liberty with Illinois plates and park by outlet #2. Let me know what time you will be there. I will probably get there around 8pm. How about fly selection? I plan on bringing some zonkers, buggers, muddlers, and leeches. Any other suggestions?
  9. Hello, my name is Dave and I am new to the forum. I have been reading many posts over the past few months and really enjoy it. I am coming down to do some night fishing with my brother who goes to College of the Ozarks on 1-24 and 1-25. Wanted to know if any of you guys wanted to join us and give us some pointers. I have fished Taney a few times. I wish I lived closer. It is such a great fishery.
