Superfly, My brothers and I had the best bass fishing (largemouth) day of my life yesterday. We went to some private land within 20 minutes of your house. All I can say is that I tried to call you. As far as small fins, bronzies, green trout go, you can fish beautiful water very close to home with great success. A week ago monday, I fished a new spot, very nearby and caught seven with the largest at 14 inches. I've honed in (much trial and error) on a pattern of crayfish that emulates more than just a crayfish, that seems to consistently catch smallmouth. If you'd like some pics, let me know; you girlyman. p.s. Who started this whole bass craze??

Their metabolic rate slows in the wintertime, but they still feed somewhat actively for short periods of time throughout the day. They are catchable in the wintertime, but more difficult, adding to the addiction of fishing.... the challenge..
