  1. good ramp, concrete at bennet and below accross bridge and right to public use area . . no props. good small mouth above bennett ...browns and rainbow below. . . try minnows. good luck
  2. Never fished it in the cold months. However, never .. ever .. had a problem catch'n fish in the Finley (Spring through Fall) Unbelievable frenzies on occations. Small mouth, large mouth, goggle eye . . . ! Fly rods . . you bet! I really think you can catch fish in the Finley with almost any bait. However, we may be missing something. Catfish! What do we/anyone know about catch'n catfish on the Finley? And . . what about eating the fish caught? Safe or not?
  3. Walleye makes since to me. Early spring with the white bass, where the river meets the lake and up river. Very early or, very late fishing should produce. Bundle up! The same should be true for Bull Shoals below the dam and toward Forsyth.
  4. I wont reviel my "Honey Hole" but, I've never had a problem of catching fish on the Finley. Goggle-eye are plentiful, large mouth and small mouth likewise. Believe it or not. . we've also landed a few crappie. Plastic worms and jigs will produce. Fly rods are a hoot! Our best outings occur around 9:oo am in warm weather. However, be careful of the Bass taken, the may not be good to eat. In cleaning, I've found they are full of worms. To save the fish, when caught, look at the tail. If brown or dark specks are visible . . between the body and the tail . . . Give thanks and return them to the stream. These paracites are the result of run-off from pastures and fields, insecticides and who knows what else. None the less ..it's good fishing or, good for practicing your technique. And what about catfish? Got info about the Finley? Let's share it. And let's keep the river clean.
