  1. Well I fished my first of 10 blue ribbon waters this morning at Crane Creek, Crane MO. It was an unbelievable day. We have had cold weather lately but this week it rocketed and was 65+ degrees today. I got to Crane at about 7:40 and hit the water. It was a slow day but a great day. With the terrible ice storm has downed a lot of trees which made fishing difficult (needless to say I lost my fair share of flies). All in all I saw 20+ fish and was able to land one nice 13" rainbow and two 8" fighters. Hit one whole that held 3 20"+ rainbows that at least went a LBS 1/2 to TWO. Finally was able to get my John Deere (a green jig pattern) down to them and bang, but as quick as I had him he was gone and that was all for the big fish this day. But what a great start to the 07' season. Happy fishing.
  2. Hello everyone it is my first time on ozarkanglers and I am looking forward to all that will come about by being on this site. I was born and raised in Colorado and grew up fishing the streams and high lakes of the Rockies. I cut my fly fishing teeth on the Arkansas River and the many waters of Colorado. I now live in Missouri and am adjusting to mid-west fishing. I have been fly fishing for 11 years but want to learn much more. Just started tying flies and need all the help I can get (ie. patterns to start on, good resource sites etc.) Look forward to gleaning knowledge from you all.I have made it my goal to fish all of the Blue Ribbon waters in Missouri by June. They are as follows Crane Creek, Barren Fork, Blue Springs, Little Piney, Current River, Eleven Point, Mill Creek, North Fork of White, and Spring Creek. Look forward to updating on success. His jj
