  1. I talked with Mike at Backcountry yesterday ... another GREAT guy. Thanks for the info folks. I do have ALOT of nightfishing experience from back in Michigan for trout, but down here I've just got to change my tactics, timing, and mindset somewhat. I also need a gas-sipping car to make the drive to Branson from Wichita
  2. I talked with Leonard today .... a GREAT guy. i can't wait to meet up with some of the after-hours crew. Will this coming weekend prior to the 4th of July be busier than normal at Taneycomo? I might just swing up there for some Saturday and Sunday night action. Tim
  3. LMAO @ gonefishin Thanks Snowfly and Greeg, I will talk to those guys. davekeim, I have not been out fishing much since moving here to Wichita, KS. Been mostly turkey hutning, working OT, working on my MBA, and traveling back to Michigan. The last few fish I caught in Michigan however were some 8-12# atlantic salmon and some 12-14# brown trout.
  4. So who are the night-fishing big trout gurus here? I'd like to talk to a few of you guys about the various techniques, timing, etc over email or private messages. I'm used to night-fishing (throwing mice flies for trout) in Michigan, but it's a bit different down here I've noticed. Thanks in advance!
  5. Sorry for the delayed response, the email notification did not work for me. I'll go through my materials later today and get back with you with maybe some pictures. Thanks
  6. Yeah, I do that sort of stuff. What are you looking for pricewise? quantity? any and all details please.
  7. I'm thinking of swinging by this weekend for a fishing trip. Can anyone recommend some flyshops and a place to spend the night (don't want to break the bank, but don't want cockroach infested either). Also, what patterns (day/night) should I have for the weekend? Thanks.
  8. I'm new to Kansas and looking to chase some muskies and pike with the flyrod. Are there any good rivers (perferably) or lakes in the neighboring states? Thanks
