Boy, that is a nice one! Way to go!
-
Whoops. The fist foto of Dylan is of a different trip. Pretty nice brownie on a spinnerbait.
-
This weeks fotos are of a trip Dylan, Buzz, and I took in 2008. I can't wait to start doing this again this year.
-
Dang your hide AL. Next weekend I am taking Dylan up to Truman for the Youth Turkey hunt.

Isn't Arkansas in the SEC? Didn't Mizzou take them out behind the woodshed a couple of years ago and give them a good spanking? I think some other SEC teams fell to Big XII teams that year too. I can't remember for sure though.

I found this today and thought I would pass it along. Looks worth while to me. http://www.reelrecovery.org/

I guess we should also stick an officer in every isle in every store to stop shoplifting? I agree with you though. It is much easier to complain and make excuses than it is to take action. -
A&J, those two pics come from the upper end of Shoal Creek a few weeks ago. Buzz and Dylan had got aways a head of me at the time I caught the brownie in the first pic. I juat happen to be standing next to downed tree and thought it would look good for a foto prop. MC, glad you like the pic's. I enjoy posting them to share with you guy's. I know they are not the best but, what the heck. BTW, I will be PM'ing in the next couple of weeks about our trip.

Do you think that is a years worth of violations? I am researching for some information and when and if I can find it I will post it. But of course I already know what your response will be. You must be proud of yourself to view all of those violations and never pick up the phone. Silence is acceptence. So I wouldn't complain too much. -

Thanks for the compliment tippett7. I kinda liked that first pic too. It was pretty cool that day.
-
I am agreement that we postpone. There will be too many great weekends to endure this one. I'll bet ya that if we just look a week or two away, we will see great weather.
-
Uhhhhh about that weather thing. I am hearing rain, with snow mix and high of 46. We may want to start rethinking this.
-
Will there be beer? That is like asking will there be water to float on? I don't know if it is state law but I know for sure it is MAN LAW!!
-
Hey when I called you and said the high thursday was going to be 46, well that is what they said. But at the 6 o'clock report he laughed at his mistake. It will be 56 Thursday. SOOOOO that is much better. Maybe the temps will climb. As of now they are calling for rain Friday and Saturday. Of course we have heard that for the last month or so to with no rain or very little. They are calling for 1-3 inches right now. We'll see. We will keep you posted on the weather KC. Being uncomfortable can turn a trip sour no matter how good it is. If it turns out you will make it, are you coming down Friday night? Flysmallie?

Spring On The Spring

"I guess I will start using the "Other Ozark Waters" forum since this obviously bothers you. Sorry I didn't mean to tread in on your territory." Yikes! Don't think I deserved that. However, as I read the description of this forum I see... Ok I will concede this one. I based this the fact that at one time this was the Spring River (MO-OK) forum. I hadn't relized that it had changed. Things seem to change a lot around here. I also had posted previous trips on Spring River last year here. We now return you to regularly scheduled posting. -
Spring On The Spring

Well, we don't have a forum for this Spring River in Missouri. So since this is the same Spring River that ends up in Grand Lake, this is the one I have chosen to use. The other Spring River forum you are talking about is on the other side of the state and runs into Arkansas. I would hate to put my post there and confuse the rest of the readers. I guess I will start using the "Other Ozark Waters" forum since this obviously bothers you. Sorry I didn't mean to tread in on your territory. I thought it covered all of Spring River. My fault. If the administrators would like, they may move all of my Spring River post to the "Other Ozark Waters" foum. Your call. Shouldn't you really be posting in the Grand Lake forum anyway? Technically that is where you are fishing. -

Oh you bet it was great! You need to lay off a trip and come with us next saturday! BTW those were some really nice fish you have so far this year. The colors were beautiful!!! -
What a game!! I can't wait until Thursday! Boy does Mizzou sports have it going on now or what!
-
Buzz and I took a trip to Sping River in Jasper County today. Boy was it tough. The fish were sticking very tight to structure and would not chase. You had to bonk them on the nose. All fish today were Kentuckies too. Well, except for one largemouth. I ended up with only 9 and Buzz had 7. They sure as heck was fat though. Each one was fat pigs. And there wasn't any mistaking you had made a connection with them either. It was fish on, no question. Another thing you could count on was that once you caught one, you just as well move on. You were not going to pick another one out of there. I think only twice today we caught more than one from a spot. Just another great day on a river in the Ozarks. As it was ment to be!

Up-to-date White Bass Report
Chief Grey Bear replied to msubobcats's topic in Spring & Neosho Rivers (OK)
Has anybody been trying the Elk river arm? They may go that way. I know 2 years ago they did. Might be worth a try. The temps sound like they should be there in big numbers.
