I am wanting to take my wife out this weekend to catch some gills around baxter. Based on what I have read, pea gravel main-lake points 10-15 ft.? Any locations anyone wants to give up? lol (yeah right)

A little advice here.....I am puzzled I have been on fish for the last two weeks catching a limit of bass every time I go out. (points, bluffs, deep chunk rock banks) Fished a tournament last night (it was a bit chilly by the way) and STRUGGLED to catch six shorts. Can anyone tell me what happened? Did the cold front shut the fish down, or was I just not fishing in the right places. Thanks for the help!!
