  8. Man I hate to hear the river is in such bad shape. I grew up fishing in Leadwood and as I got in high school and started dating my wife I gained access to the bluff at Terre Du Lac. I remember in the middle 80's it was nothin for us as 13 and 14 year olds to go catch 30-40 bass in a day . I live in Kansas City now but last time I was home I went down to low water bridge at Leadwood and did a little wading . I could'nt believe how shallow the pool was there now. It was maybe 2 foot deep and I remember when that water was over my head. I don't remember ever catching any spots in the river and I hate to hear they got in there. Man we had a bunch of places that we almost were gauranteed to catch a largemouth. Any place where the water swirled back upstream seemed to hold a largemouth and I caught many over 4 pounds there . Is this Al Agnew that is a wildlife artist? I could have swore my wife worked at Wetterau in Desloge with a guy whose brother was an Outdoor Artist named Al Agnew. WEll hopefully they can get it cleaned up. Have tons of great memories from that place.
  9. No I'm not that Tom Kite but It does help . Ive got a few tee times through the years that i shouldn't have because of my name. Was a very good day for me. Guy delivered my boat and 2 new garcia 4600 reels and 2 all star rods were waiting on my front porch.
  10. Man this is my new screensaver pic. I spent about 10 straight summers wading out in that river off that low water bridge. I went down there last summer I cant believe how the water has changed below the bridge much more shallow than i remember.
  11. Just wanted to stop in and say hi. My name is Tom Kite and I live in Lees Summit Missouri just outside of Kansas City. I grew up fishing the rivers and lakes South of St Louis. My favorite being Big River at Leadwood Missouri. Used to ride my bike there with a can of corn and catch perch all day long. As i got older I discovered the fine smallmouth bass fishing on the river and caught my fair share. At age 21 something horrible happened . I discovered golf and have spent the last 14 years of my life chasing the little white ball all over the United States. But for some reason this spring at Branson we decided to rent a boat and go out on Table Rock . I caught 2 small smallies and got hooked again. I just purchased my first boat a 1985 Fiberglass Tracker 1710 with 90 hp motor and IU pick it up tomorrow. So I'll be hittiing the lakes around here starting aboout 6am this Saturday. One last thing I cannot believe how much rods ,reels and lures have gone up since I quit fishing in 93. That was quite a shock to walk in and look at those prices.
