Don, thanks for the report. I've tried to fish the tailwaters in the late afternoon, but the level/current is far too high. Any ideas when they'll stop generating for fall?

Is rain generally associated with tailwater generation? Is it common summer practice to keep Beaver lake consistent to open the dam somewhat after a rain?

Hey all. Just joined. I'm new to the streams/rivers, but love it. I grew up fishing and guiding inshore and nearshore salt in the northern Gulf of Mexico/Pensacola, FL. I have a canoe and what I have deemed the right tackle/flies from research and want to hit the White near/around Cotter. Are there any maps online that I am not finding that might show canoe access points? Thanks. Look forward to meeting/chatting with you all. JonT

Hi all, I moved to Fayetteville, AR last summer and been scouting out trout spots. I have ultralight gear and fly gear (8 and 10 wt.). Had lots of luck on the upper White with low to mid generation. I was an inshore guide in Pensacola, FL for 2 years before moving here. Glad to find the forum, and I look forward to participating in it. Tight Lines JonT
