  1. Thank you Laker. I guess I missed the other post. Hopefully there will be a clear answer. Until then I'll continue to head to shore at the ramp horn. Thanks again.
  2. I'm still new at this night fishing thing, but I do know that when the horn blows I need to get out of the water. However, Saturday night, I was fishing out on the point area, when the horn blew at the ramp. I got out. So did some others. Called and the recording said no generation. Not sure what to trust now. Would hate to be out there when the ramp horn blew and think nothing was going to happen. Is there an 'official' statement somehwere as to clarify this a bit better? thanks for any advice.
  3. I come in peace, so take me to your leader.....................or your tippet. Sorry.............long day!
  4. I was out on the point when it happened. I was the one who asked what it was!! Somebody replied back that they weren't sure, but hope it helped the bite!! Kinda spooky.... Foggy, pitch black, and then all of sudden you could see across the water for a spit second. I didn't see anything in the paper or on the news yesterday. Maybe we are the only ones that saw it. rick
  5. Leonard, Thanks for the help and pointers last night. Now if I can just figure out how to hook'um, and keep the hook in them....lol. With all the taps I got, it felt like I was perch fishing. I just couldn't seem to get the hook to stick. Oh well, I guess I need to go again and practice....hehe. See ya later, and thanks again. Rick
  6. I just wanted to say thanks again to all that helped show me some tricks. I had an absolute hoot, and plan to try it again in the near future. Thanks to Michael for the opportunity; Thanks to Jeremy for the casting tips; and special thanks to Duane for the tips, flies, and most of all the patience to show me around. Rick
