  12. http://www.ussportsmen.org/Read.cfm?ID=2262 I have friends and family that are agents and they are spread really thin and they can only do so much. The link I posted is a law they are trying to pass and I know that it has nothing to do with fishing but it affects the MDC and all of us sportsman. I for one am a gigger, I grew up doing it and learned from my father and Grandfather, and I will take anyone that is complaining with the fish populations. I am not saying there are not bad apples that kill and fish illegally but it is a very few compared to how many obide by the law. As for stopping gigging, there is a reason there is a season on all animals and fish and that is to keep them at a healthy population so everyone may enjoy them. If you keep taking away things to do in the outdoors we won't have anything left to do. My last comment: there is nothing better than fried suckers and potatoes on the river!!
  13. Aaron, It has been awhile, 12 years or so, anyways here is my go to list for the North Fork. Black, Brown, Golden Stones sizes #6-10 Prince Nymphs #16-12 Hare's Ears #16-12 Pheasant Tails #16-12 Copper Johns #18-14 Red Fox Squirrel Nymphs #12-14 Scuds #12-14 I usually use a two fly rig with the Stone first and then a droper. I am sure Brian will get on here and chime in, he knows alot more than I do. I don't get to fish the NF as much as I would like but still get to fish it everytime I am back home to see the parents. Wish I would have been a fly fisherman when I was growing up on that river. I will let you know next time I am down and maybe we can go fish it togather. Rodney Holland
  14. Pat, Yes, I played football for CMSU 98' thru 01' and my number was #39. My senior year was the year we won the Mineral Water Bowl. 15. How is the water down at the park? Is it wadeable yet or is it still up too much? Whats the outlook like for this weekend, will the water go down enough for wadeable fishing?
  16. What is a good cfs to wade Little Piney? Will it be fishable or wadeable by this weekend?
  17. I was down in WP this weekend but never went to the river, because of the rain. I had planned on taking a couple guys from STL this coming weekend but with all the rain I just don't think the water will be down to a wadeable level. What do you think about the level, will it get to 700cfs by this weekend?
  18. Your rubber leg is what I had in mind!!! I will be down next weekend so I wanted to tie some up!
  19. Can someone post how to tie a Stone fly patteren.
  20. How do you get to Taylor Bridge, just wanting to wet my fly line until the trout fishing resumes.
  21. you never sent me a pm about the price
  22. pm me a price too!
  23. I have the Orvis Tailwaters XT with Boots, they are the most comfortable pair of waders and boots I have fished in.
  24. Can we get a Picture of this thing!
  25. I have fished RockBridge, it is down were I grew up, the food at the restruant is excellent as well as the bar that over looks the river. As for the fishing it is going to cost you, I belive it will run around $2 to $3 a pound. I caught 5 fish last time I was down there and it ran around $100. It has been a year or so sinced I have been down there, last time they talked like they may do a catch and release for $20 a day, don't know though. You'd be better off fishing the North Fork with Brian Wise for the price it would cost you down there. Rodney
