  1. Have been flyfishing the uper current but need some help. Have not been very successful. Who shoud I get for a good one day instructor for getting better on the upper current? Thanks G dogg
  2. Public meetings start October 12-14 on plnas for the new state park along the CurreNt River, also known as Alton Box Club. This could be a great location for another Montauk like park. Fishermen need to get involved in the process becuase I'm sure the National Park Service doesn't want anything done to this great piece of River property. Meetings are in Salem, Montauk, and Eminence and an online survey starts October 10 at www.mostateparks.com/survey/.htm PASS THE WORD AROUND TO ANY FISHING CLUBS YOU MAY BE IN.
  3. AL: Thanks for taking the time and giving me some ideas. Maybe see you on the Current. Thanks again, Gary W. Fakes
  4. Just wanted to introduce myslef to the website. Orginially from Sikeston Missouri my family and I now live in St Louis. Have a great cabin overlooking the Current River near Pultite, totally secluded. Do a lot of fishing on the Current and Sinking creek. Wanting to get better at fly fishing the Current and always looking for good fly fisherman advice or to team up and float. p.s. Got kayaks and will never use a canoe again. Gary W. Fakes CPA, CFP
  5. Al: After reading your Montana story you are the man I need some advice from. I have a beautiful cabin right on the Current River in Missouri around Pultite and spend a lot of time fishing on the Current. However, my wife and I have been wanting to take a trip out West, been thinking about Yellowstone for some fly fishing and site seeing. Don't know anything aobut it and there are hundreds of places to stay and fish. Could you narrow it down to some beautiful areas or guides for about a two week advennture out west and would September be a good time to go? Any advece would be greatly appreciated. Gary W. Fakes
