guys i put my brand new rain gauge out last night before the storm i checked this morning 1 1/4 inches at the heaven the river should rise but not bad glory daze i will see you around 3 if your are still coming call me when you leave russ

guys we floated big sugar last evening from deep ford to the heaven there is one strainer that is narly as your coming around a right hand curve past sugar island STAY TO THE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i fear that if people start floating this stretch some one is gonna get it i dont think 20 is too far with the flow is has right now we can decide on friday are you coming to the heaven????? hope your getting excited you should have a real nice float russ

we floated saturday and monday on the elk water level should be good friday around three should be ok my cell #479-685-5399 if you want to park at the heaven and float from powell that would be a pretty long float your car will be safe at my place let me know russ

last night when i got home the river was rising about a foot an hour we sat and watched i think it crested around 7 pm at gracies campground this morning it was down about 6-8 feet and falling next weekend might be a good time to float????????? glorydaze keep in touch and we will see what we can come up with fishing will be screwed for a while up river there should be major carnage i will keep the river condition posted russ

hey guys we have floated several times lately from deep ford to mt shira right now its a blast but i heard we were gonna have more rain so this weekend could be deadly there is at least three hairy spots between deep ford and 3 rivers (where the big sugar meets the elk) i do not advise floating alone on this run at this time if you need some help or shuttle let me know russ up river from deep ford has some narly spots as i have heard give us a call on friday for river conditions

red and i floated from sugar island to hog heaven water is still stained and above normal the float was awesome a couple of splashys and spinners one tree is a strainer down from sugar island very easy pass on the river right fishing should start up real soon will post any info on big and little sugar in this forum also indian creek and the elk of course keep floating also get that rod and reel out shine it up get some oil on it get some fresh line and go get it wet

this shot is actually the little sugar it is where a man made falls at the old shrimpmans it re routed itself and i dont know what they are gonna do??????????? russ i am on a brigde looking south the main channel went to my left see this pic

what a day we had first we went out on an island close to hog heaven found 8 canoes (kozy kamps) then we floated from hog heaven to low water and we counted 15 more (kozy kamps) the carnage is unreal after that float we wanted some more so we went to the falls and floated back to the heaven that was the biggest shocker of them all the falls at old shrimpmans is dry i didnt have my camera but went back the next morning for these shots unreal??????????????? be safe russ

we plan on starting some introduction to kayaking classes as soon as the water goes down we plan on ten people or less per class includes everything you need or bring your own we will plan a float with the class any one interested in this let me know russ hog heaven outfitters 417-223-2369

gracies campground is under water kozy kamp lost 200 boats at hog heaven we were able to move everything out of harms way BE SAFE see pics

it is not busy yet but the heards of drunken idiots are soon to appear any way sunday afternoons are your ticket the partiers have to go back to there homes i think this weekend is spring break russ

guys the fishing should start to be good any day now we are seeing more and more each time we float the indian we floated yesterday from town hole to low water bridge it was a great float we are open come visit come float my cell phone # 479-685-5399 home # 417-223-2369 we can get you in a canoe or yak and put you anywhere you want to go i have not wet a line for several weeks and i am ready we have logged over 150 miles since jan 1 the best was the mulberry last sunday russ

Red, lance and i put in at craig o lee and made a fast run to the heaven the water is up and moving real good saw eagles right after putting in everything went as planned except red forgot the drain plug on the pirahna and took on a bunch of water and got cold keep floatin russ

yes the float was awesome so issues at all we were in yaks the dude we saw at the put in had a canoe and passed us halfway the float seemed short to me i would love to plan a overnighter or just dream about floating the whole river keep in touch russ
