if i was planning on a trip it wouldn't be to beaver it would be bull!!!or north fork (trust me) on that!!!!!!
-
sure they have stocked both, but they have yet to show any evidence of natural reproduction, and the numbers are low compaired to rainbows being caught!!

not true!! the ladies at kings river store said no! the three kids that live there said nope!! only thing going in the water is us!! and it was just a trickle of flow going (no- boat) kinda 'water! talked to three boys fishing at marshall ford and they said all they have catching is perch but they were biting great this past week!! so there you go!!
-
i think he was pulling yourleg!! the water up there is very skinny and there isn't really a place to drop fish!unless they just dumped them off from the bridge? and nobody i know has been braggin" about catching them?? but i'll do some reserch on it and post you by sat am!

I floated the first day from eurbie to pruitt and the second day from pruitt to hasty both floats were around 7 miles both days i hit the water at 8ish' and came off at 5to 6 nothing but fun no danger at all!! on thurs i went to kyles landing and most of them loading up were cold and wet but with big grins and said the white water was fast!thats why i scooted down stream!by staying tight to the inside of the rapids on bends and in the middle of straights chutes should keep you dry!fished a (army green) or watermellon tube with red and black flakes all day long!!caught some crawdadds they all were light tan to dark brown with highlites of orange!the water wasn't gin clear it had a bule green tint to it!

how about the current river or 11 point? if your thinking on the little red i think i would go norfork on the white river! OR FROM THE DAM AT BULL TO COTTER it's all classI WATER but wild bill will know water levels? but your really kiddin' me about not fishing? right !!!! REALLY GOOD fishing on all this water, the trout on that part of the white is great!!! RAINBOWS AND BROWNS and smallies too!!
-
heres a few >>> dillards 800-423-8731...>>wild bills 800-544-8657 >>>>and riley's station outfitters 888-533-2151 all good folks and i have used them all!! first two are out of yellville and the station is out of mt. home but unless we get some rain soon it will be along trip draging over the rocks! the river needs to be at 3.0 for a minimum and 5.0 to 9.0 is the best !! by that i mean the water does all the work hope this helps you out!
-
ok here we go!! first there is no bending it back if it's kinked or folded you have to use a drill,(just as big as the head )to drill the heads of the riviets off ,and remove them ,to remove the damaged tubing ,you might have to remove all of it to get the frame work out, or as many as needed to get the tubing out of the way to cut out or saw thru. now take your damaged tubing to your welder buddy or shop and have them make you the new parts but make sure they make male to female ends on the new tubing so you can just slip it in to complete your frame work .pick-up a pop riviet gun at lowes or wal-mart and install it back !! and your back on the water( seems painless) hope it helps!!!

I need someone to patch my canoe
bobber replied to hank franklin's topic in Lodging, Camping, Kayaking and Caoneing
ok ,i need a little more in for here to help you do your repairs the first patch you did? your old patch failed/ fall-off or cracked thru? besause now we are patching the patch ? on the inside of the canoe clean the damaged area with alchol or acetone take labled for plactic two part epoxy and lay a bead (like toothpaste size)over the hole, and take duct tape band-aid and push the epoxy into the hole with the tape, smooth it with your thumb and leave alone! yes leave the tape on it!! now flip the boat see any epoxy seeping out? if so apply a small amount of epoxy and do the same thing as in inside yes leave the tape, after the curing time is up 24 hours slowly roll the tape off (dont pull-it off) sure hope this helps you!! -
about 2.7 miles west of kingston AR HWY 74 PUT IN distance 13.3 miles classI and II there is one more but it has a drop-offs ,not for canoers!!!on the head waters but this section is dependant on rain fall!! a reading of 2.5 is a minimum 3.0 to 4.5 anywere close to 6.o is dangerous ,about a 6 hour trip but not too much to look at!!!!! and the fishing isn't that good .

yes, the water was very muddy!! nope didn't see a sole untill the take-out at marshall, and that was like a riverside quiz show! had maybe ten cars stop and ask questions, i guess not to many people float it? , being the first time on this part and the river and almost going to 4.3 on the gauge it was a thrill ride! there were a few things that had me back paddling , and i bet my face looked like this!! and then there were parts i would say classII+ and others that were just a fast I+ there was a lot of places i had to tuck my oars in on to shoot thru .... THIS IS THE FIRST OF MANY TRIPS TOO COME, SO KEEP WATCHING AND BE READY TO GRAB YOU STUFF N' GO!!all the places i'll be going are 1 day trips with outfitters near by! if you call it (STRESS MANAGEMENT) YOU CAN DEDUCT IT OFF YOUR TAXES!! heres some pics the one the water runs under the bluff was about 600 ft yes, the water was very muddy!! nope didn't see a sole untill the take-out at marshall, and that was like a riverside quiz show! had maybe ten cars stop and ask questions, i guess not to many people float it? , being the first time on this part and the river and almost going to 4.3 on the gauge it was a thrill ride! there were a few things that had me back paddling , and i bet my face looked like this!! and then there were parts i would say classII+ and others that were just a fast I+ there was a lot of places i had to tuck my oars in on to shoot thru .... well let me first say that any of you that wanted to go and didn't....... you missed a totaly GREAT TRIP!!!! the morning started off a little on the shakey side, cold! dark !and windy! and water level on the gauge was 3.6 when i got to the launch site at marble the gravel bank put-in was half under water <pushed off at 8:40 this section of the river was bufflined almost the entire way,, just unbeliveable a trip you must do!! at this water level paddling was a option! one tree completly blocked the river if you hugged the bank you could just scrape by ,and two low water bridges that are at water line levels, the first one looks like you can go under on the right but you can't ,the second one you can portage to the left side .. the upper part fishing was very slow on the bite and the last few miles were the best!(my wife is reading over my shoulder ) what a trooper she is, she got up early to do my shuttle for me , what a sweetheart! and last the take out was a little spooky! with the water rolling over the marshall ford you need to make sure your in controll as you make your approch ,it's about a 5 foot fall to the otherside if you dont . this trip at a lower level might a good overnighter, it was a full-day
-
my seat is full,,, but there are two outfitters that work this river so any of you that want to go please chime in here so i can help set this in motion..looks like sat am around 8 we will hit the water rain or shine!!
