  1. well i went to rockhouse last sunday it was low still but we have had a little rain since then i have just been bank fishing or lewis n clarks but i really hope to float a good stretch this monday hoping to be at some of those holes when this cold front leaves and it gets to warming up some that should be some great fishing
  2. i think it is floatable again i didn't get to make it out in about a week but there has been some steady rain here and there so it should be i would love to do the mcmullen farm to 62 bridge stretch i have heard of some good fishing on that stretch!!! i will give ernie down out kings river outfitters a call and see what he think but until then peace
  3. well i floated(dragged) rockhouse to trigger gap and the fishing was darn good with all the fish pooled up but the going was slow and the trip took about 10 hours and my dogs ran off about two miles down river to reappear when we got back up to rockhouse so i was worried about them all day and i think the impacted my fishing cause it wasn't the first thing on my mind but finesse worms were working good and gitzits did me well also but check out this pig that my canoe mate and weekly fishing buddy got about 16 1/2 to 17 inches
  4. hey you are right we don't mill our own beans and not everything is store made but alot is and the darkest stuff is a 72% cocoa
  5. of course i let it go only had the stringer to get it back up to where i left the canoe and camera! i didn't want it out of the water that long so i put it on the stringer and let it swim back up with me!!
  6. yes i released that beauty only had it on the stringer cause i caught it about a quarter mile down from where i left the canoe and camera so i didn't want it out of the water that long but i had the stringer in my backpack i only keep or eat goggleye never the brownies they are just a sport fish!!!!! but the color of that one was the prettiest i have ever seen and was caught about two mile down river from rockhouse i have thought about getting a replica made just because of the markings were so great!!! but i really want a 20 plus incher for my replica i have caught 7 17-18 inchers this year but no 20 plus fish and the whiskey is not very common anymore but i just have a thing for top shelf bourbons!!
  7. Howdy yall i am new on hear and am a avid smallmouth fisher on the kings and war eagle river most on my post will be in the kings river section but also i hunt some and will post in the whitetail board some!! but since i live just miles from Rockhouse and Marshal's ford and can hit up a private spot on the war eagle from my dirt road that is why i fish 3-5 days a week and the water levels are just now getting up to floatable levels again!! i also work in eureka springs as a chef at the rocky mountain chocolate factory some drop by if you are visiting euFreaka springs!! well hello to all and hope to hear from many of you soon
  8. i live near rockhouse and marshal's ford and the war eagle and the recent rains are helping the river level they are getting good for floats again!!! i would like to see more discussion on this forum since i fish 3-4 times a week i could keep us posted on current lures and water levels!! i have had good luck recently with lizards 4 and 6 inch and finesse worms mainly watermelon and pumpkinseed with slight variations also stick baits and shallow rapalas!! i would love to plan a float for the trophy area in the near future and may need a canoe mate!! but lets get this board going well and i would love to have a war eagle board too or maybe just use this one for war eagle info too!!
