The retirement timing was perfect. I turned 67, paid off the house and got layed off all in the same week!! i'll be posting on here when I head down so maybe I'll see you up by the island. I 'll be in my little silver Toyota Yaris as always.

After reading FFF's post I'm ready to head to Bennett. I have also been looking at going up to the Driftless Area in Iowa near Decorah,IA. Suppose to be some great trout fishing!

Heh Guys! I'm getting the axe on June 2nd so it's time to retire!!!!!! Company layed off 81 and kept 23. It was time for me to go anyway at 67. I am thinking about heading down soon after june 2nd and maybe even hit montauk. I haven't been to Montauk in 25 years. It might be fun to hit Montauk and Bennet in the same week.

Still thinking i might go. I could use some stream time. Actually the last time I was down the stream cleared out OK in the afternoon...at least enough to fish.

I'll get down some time this winter!!! Right now I'm under the weather and just want to stay in bed.

Guess I need to get down there. I was heading down there on day lsst week but chicken out and went Crappie fishing about 30 minutes from the house instead of driving the 3 hours. Caught lots of short fish and 6 -10 inch keepers. Great fun! I forgot, the dock is indoors out of the weather.

Well, looks like I'll be working tommorrow for the opener but I think I will head down Monday the 11th. Veteran Days, baby!!! I deserve the day off since i am a veteran.

But in Catch and Release you can fish the whole stream with flys!

I was in there a few week ago and they never have much stock it seems to me. I don't know what I should expect but compared to Charlies it's darn near vacant.

I caught some pretty nice ones a few weeks ago. A few small ones in there as well. I think it matters what they stocked in the night before or the few days before. OR some small ones got out in the high water.
