  1. just wondering if you could make a forum on bush conservation area. i think this would be very usefull for fishing, hunting, dog training,tails,bird watching. one thing that could be complicated is all the lakes/ponds they have. I think alot of locals would like to have this forum before they head out to check out fishing info,let me know your thoughts. thanks ~kevin
  2. yes i live in st.louis area. thanks for the tips and help from both post. i have a pretty good game plan when i head up there this weekend."marked key areas on topo map" "Thom" im gussing i should stick to the heavy sized jigs and pop them off the bottom or drag for the river? also have you ever fished near a place called chatauqua? my buddy owns a cottage there and wondering if this is worth trying or not , a small spring comes out of the harbor creating some mixed current looking good for holding fish.
  3. what would be the best time to fish mark twain for walleye, and what techniqes, what to look for on the lake that holds the fish. i have been wanting to catch a few at marktwain but never had success because of lack of tackle for this species. now that i am geard up im ready to go at them agian. "never have cought a walleye in my life"
  4. after reading i was very entrested in trying some of this molding bait stuff. what is the mold made of, where can i get the stuff to make the mold.
  5. soo heres the situation. i have a butt load of 2lb line "p line fluro COATED" and i also have 4lb trilene xt clear. so heres the deal. what would be recomended for the white river? and i do not have an extra spool for my browning ultralight reel. i have not found a way to pruchase a spare.
  6. as the title says, are the cabins worth the money?? i usaly stay at the hotel at the lodge.
  7. what would be a cheap "5,000" good invesment for a bass fishing boat.also will do some trolling for walleye. a boat tht as some storage and live well. possible rigged out metal john boat? oh and i forgot to add i would like to have the boat rigged with a small outboard motor..
  8. got back from the trip today and they were hitting on alot of baits. for spinning combos orange 3inch worm rigged wacky is a must. also try some other colors like red,brown,green.also small plastic crappie jigs about 1/16 oz or 1/32 oz.. depending on water depth and wind. for fly fishing small marabo jigs white and olive were very produtive, along with alot of small flies. the fishing over all was pretty good . it was realy sunny out an no over cast but they still hit good. <went down wed,thur of this week>
  9. nope i couldnt get down there this weekend, we are going wed. and thursday now. one plus side about that is not to much crowed but les big fishlol.. and do u have any pics of ur fish?

  11. brand new to this species of fish. well not new but never have fished for them. i was wondering if it was worth going up to truman to try to catch some walleye. what time of year an baits would be best .. i have done reserch an watched over 1000 tv shows about them but i would like to no from the locals in the area.
  12. how should i fish the following flies : woolly booger,sand juan worm,cracklebacks,and nymphs.. i fly fish constantly in my back yard " 1-2 acre pond with bass and bluegill .. how ever u fish the flys they will take them. so little new with the presentation for trout. i have cought about 3 on a fly rod at montauk .. but tht was a year ago when i didnt no nothin about fly fishing for trout.
  13. il b down there sunday but not fishing .. un packing at the campgruonds and fishing monday and tuesday. to much crowd down there at the derby but for a good cause
  14. thnks for the help but i would still like to have ur opinions on is it worth going out of the state park to search for some big fish... were actaly giong AFTER the fishing derby tht weekend .. so monday and tuesday. would tht mean bigger fish in the park? or would they be fished out fast?

  16. what are some simple flies to tie that are affective.. im 15 and iv been tieing flys for only about a year or two. also i must add is it worth going down current river "out of the state park" and look for the lunkers? going down october 9-12
