Took a regular customer, Barry and his niece Stephanie, out in the drift boat. the fishing was good with about 30 fish landed and a number of other "quick releases". The key was being deep, as per usual. Stoneflies and Don's crawdad did really well as did a 1/16th oz white marabou jig fished under an indicator. Stephanie landed an 18.5 incher that was fat and beautiful on the jig and Barry hooked a bigger one than that, that made a run that ended with a three foot jump that broke the line upon impact with the water. It rained on us for an hour or so at the end of the day. The water this morning had come up about 5 inches and turned brown. It appears, having just gotten back from Thomasville, that the worst of the water has left the upper river. Meaning that we should crest soon. That being said, fishing should be tough until the first of the week, barring anymore big rains. It was great fun to spend the day with Barry and Stephanie.
