  1. well i havent been down since the initial flood..went out of Aunts Creek last week..but i fish out of Cape Fair 90% of the time..and it really wasnt that far from what i would consider it to usually be...still dirty...but not mud...point 15...you'll have to help me out..i dont pay attention to those...sorry..i ran up to Buzzard...then back around to Bears Den...if that helps....
  2. Went down to the Cape today...still a circus tryin to get loaded or launched...hope your a good backer...but can be done...even by yourself...didnt get on the water until 11 or so..so kind of a late start..and didnt have much luck until about 4pm...not sure if they just got hungry or i found them...tried the grub that everyone is talkin about...zippo on that..tried the PB&J jig...natta...so stuck with ole faithful chart/whit war eagle spinner with same color blades...its my confidence bait right now..so just hammered away with it...flippin in the bushes..and draggin it off points..nothin seemed to matter..when i started to trick a few...seemed to be a little of everything...shallow..and deep..points and flats..nothing to write home about..couple shorts and one small keeper...retrieve didnt matter..fast or slow..so i guess im about as confused as the rest...water was 66-72...so maybe there just up in the junk and i didnt feel like haulin brush..i cant seem to get out enough to really home-in on them...hope this helps some...
  3. Hey guys/gals...finally got out yesterday, first time in about a month..be itchin to get out just couldnt catch the day or two between floods to make it down..Launched out of Aunts Creek..far ramp was the only one goin...kind of a tight squeeze if there are trucks parked...but you can make it...spent most of the day just tryin to stay out of the wind..didnt feel like runnin the troller all day..caught 5.. all on war eagle spinners..char/wht...with painted blades...1 solid keeper..maybe another...seemed like the fish i found were around docks with hardwoods and cedars...didnt find many in just plain ole brush...if you can snake through the trees and get back in past the brush..seemed to work for me...looked like i was haulin brush in my boat by the time i would find my way out..but i guess for a few good bites its worth it...was gonna head down to cape fair tomorrow..but with all the tournaments and limited parkin..i may just wait...
  4. I was wondering if anyone had ideas on what to do over the winter months. I am unable to keep my boat in the garage through the winter. I still try to get out every couple of weeks and wet a line..so im not just letting it sit all winter..i try to keep my on-board plugged in to help the batteries and i use a motor-flush so i can start it up every few days or once a week...does anyone have some tips on winter-time care. If it matters my outboard is a Merc 150 XR6. thanks fellas
  5. Hey guys....I fish primarily out of Cape Fair, and sometime will run up towards flat creek but not too far...just too much in the water that you cant see for me..little chicken i guess...But i did see a floater just before Virgin Bluff a couple days ago..i didnt stop to check it out..but it didnt look real big...maybe 1-2 lbs...and when i happen to trick a fish or two, i havent noticed any sores or anything...but again...i havent really looked to see if they might have them...but i will now just to see....Thanks
