Terry, I see that you're from Nixa. Maybe we could head to the lake sometime and you could show me some of your fishing techniques? What lakes do you fish usually this time of year? This time of year has always been very productive for big fish for me no matter where I'm at. It may be a little early yet for the fish to be moving up in the creeks, but it's probably different around here. Brian Thanks for the welcome Russ, Where is Elk River? Hello all, I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to this fine forum. I have been here in Nixa for 30 days upon moving from southern california. This place is beautiful and a sportsmans paradise! I am here with my wife and my 3 and 4 year old boys. I have tried some socal fishing techniques here but haven't caught my first bass yet. I have been seriously bass fishing since 1990 with great success in club tournaments as well as a few pro-am BASS tourneys. I have always wanted to have the opportunity to fish these series of lakes and I'm very excited to spend some time figuring these lakes out. I currently do not have a boat,but in the near future I will own one again. I know there are a lot of tournaments here, but I just want to get some time on the water to get my confidence back. If you guys have any pointers on where to start I will definitely try them and appreciate the input. I love to fish jerk baits and spinnerbaits, and will try any technique to get some quality fish.
