  1. damselfly, i don't know if lem was on orvis rep, but he was an orvis certified casting instructor. i would be willing to bet it was he you ran into. had the pleasure of taking a casting class from him shortly before he passed away. the #8 renegade was his go to fly. i have used it myself at bennett with great success.
  2. sent you a p.m.
  3. mizzouflyfisher, didn't make it down on the 15th due to the ice. to anyone who did fish monday, how was it?
  4. a buddy and i are thinking of fishing bennett on monday the 15th. the forecast is currently calling for rain fri-sun. was wondering if anyone had any experience fishing bennett after rain. good-bad? worth the drive from k.c.? any input would be appreciated.
  5. thinking of a quick road trip to taneycomo tomorrow (fri.). what are the chances i'm going to run into high water via generation? how's the fishing been?

  8. for sale new, unfished, cabelas LST 8'3", 4 piece 3 wt. rod. i have lawn cast this rod once, but it is in A++++ condition. have the original tube and rod sock. this rod retails for $165 and is covered by a 25 year warranty. will sell for $100 shipped to the lower 48. would also trade for a similarly priced multi-piece 6 or 7 wt.
  9. they are the photochromatic lenses. i offer a 3 day insepction. if not satisfied, i'll refund your money.
  10. i bought these sight unseen off of another forum. the glasses appear to be brand new, but the frames just don't fit my face. they have tortoise frames and the copper polarized lenses. fantastic looking glasses. will sell for $65 shipped to the lower 48 or consider interesting trades.
  11. just a heads up for anyone looking to buy a new reel. until march 31st, orvis.com is offering free backing and a wonderline gen 3 with the purchase of a new reel (except the low end battenkill). they set up the retrieve and install it for free too and no i am not an orvis rep.
  12. cold water fshr, i believe they retailed for about $115 new. however, for whatever reason, thay have become very hot recently especially on ebay. this was a used reel, but was in excellent condition. they are routinely selling on ebay in used condition for what they were selling for new. it may be the dearth of quality click and pawl reels on the market right now.
  13. sold
  14. for sale a ross colorado 0 (1-3 wts). item is in excellent condition. has a few small nicks on the bottom of the reel. have the original box, neoprene cover and unfilled warranty card. will sell the reel with backing for $85 shipped to the lower 48. is currently spooled with new, never fished rio selective trout wf 3 wt. line. if you want the line, add $35.
  15. thanks for the info all. looks like my teton tioga is gonna get a 4 wt. traingle taper.
  16. anyone use the wulff triangle taper line? thinking of getting it in a 4 wt. have heard rave reviews from some and others have questioned its durability and floatability. any thoghts?
  17. randall, i just purchased a teton tioga #4 on ebay for $89. talked to several people who say they are as tough as nails. just checked today and some #4 blems are going for $68. do a search on teton tiogas on ebay and you'll see what i'm talking about. if i had seen the blems, i'd have bought one of those and saved myself $20.
  18. am making a road trip to taney for the first time this monday and was wanting advice on where to fish. any help would be appreciated.
