I'm going to fish a company tourny on the James river next week, and I have never fished in that area, can anyone help me with some useful tips for that area? Most of my fishing is up the White or the Kings. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Houseman is on far upper end of table rock below the dam. you'll need to go up into war eagle river or past on into the white to get into your white bass. Some are running now but spotty.

Thanks Mike for you help Friday!!! I took your advice on how to tie and went home and whipped up some flies and went fishing Saturday on the Kings. I didn't have a big day but caught 4 dinks and 1 around 1.5lb (brownie), it was a lot of fun, might even go back today. Doug

Just wanted to say it's good to have found a site in my home water area. I'm new to flyfishing, have only been at it for about 1 year, still a lot to learn, i hope this site will give me a major boost in improving my ability on the kings and white rivers.
