thanks for the info, i've found some manual plates that only weigh about 20lbs. i talked to one guy who said he had aspecial jackplate that somehow raised motor while keeping the motor close to the back of the boat? Anyway still doing some research

I've got a 1650 xpress with a 60hp merc on it that I hunt and fish out of. I'm wanting to buy a jet lower and swap it out with the prop lower in the summer so I can fish some of my favorite rivers. I'm wanting to keep it simple as possible, thought about adding a Jackplate so I could just swap the lowers and adjust motor height acordingly? Just trying to figure the best way possible to swap this from a hunting/river fishing boat year after year. Any you river rats got any suggestions?
